Award for RSBY
New Delhi, 22nd May 2013:
The Government of India has recognized IFFCO-Tokio for its “Significant Improvement in program implementation of Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana”. During the RSBY National workshop (8-11 April. 2013) at Thiruvanthapuram, Shri Kodikunnil Suresh, Honorable Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Government of India conferred this award to Shri Yogesh Lohiya, Managing Director and CEO – IFFCO-Tokio. This award is an acknowledgment of the continuous efforts of the IFFCO-Tokio team to make this scheme a huge success.
What is Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana -
Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) is a mass health insurance scheme for BPL families and other segments (NREGS etc.) sponsored jointly by the Central and State Government The scheme provides a hospitalization Insurance cover for a Sum Insured of Rs. 30,000 per family for a period of one year and is implemented through leading general insurance companies. Under the scheme, the beneficiary family member can avail of cashless treatment under ANY network hospital, PAN India.
IFFCO Tokio and RSBY
IFFCO Tokio started its participation in RSBY with 8 districts in Punjab, in December 2010. As on 30th April 2013, IFFCO Tokio has implemented the scheme in 41 districts across Punjab, Odisha, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh. More than 800 hospitals have been on IFFCO Tokio’s panel and more than 1 Lakhs beneficiaries have been provided cashless hospitalization benefits.
